Lace

Rescue cat Lace from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, needs a homeHow are you? My name is Lace. I have my paws crossed that you might be able to help me find my new, forever home. I am looking for a patient person, who will understand that I am very scared and give me all the time I need to feel comfortable. If you were to have a calm cat who could teach me all about having a home and show me that not everything is scary, I would be very happy and I am sure that would help to build trust. I am being calmer around people, I just need lots of time and love. I have been neutered and am ready to take the next step on my journey, I just need someone to hold my paw, could that be you?

Jasmin

Rescue cat Jasmin from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, needs a homeHiya, my name is Jasmin. I am a neutered, black and white, long-haired lassie. When I first arrived at Pawz, I was feral and could be aggressive because I was so terrified of everything and just wanted to be left alone; thankfully, they didn't and instead worked with me in my foster home. It has taken plenty of time and patience but I am improving ; I still don't like strokes but I no longer hiss at my fosterer. My dream home would have an understanding person, who will accept me for what I am now; work with me, love and care for me but don't need me to be a cuddly cat. I mean , it is possible that I might surprise everyone, but it is equally as likely that I will never become a lap cat. If you could offer me a chance at this happy ever after malarkey then please get in touch and maybe we can become good pals.
JASMIN is at Pawz for Thought, Sunderland. Rehoming in Co. Durham, Northumberland & Tyne and Wear. Henry

Rescue cat Henry from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, needs a homeGood day to you; my name is Henry. I am a handsome, neutered, ginger and white longhaired lad. I am after a rural home, so that I can have a little wander as I please. I was a stray for a long time, I had some kind people feeding me, they tried to convert me to an indoor cat but I wasn't happy; so a home where I can come and go as I please. My new home would be perfect if I could be the only cat, I just don't get on with other furry felines, and a home with no young children would be best. I am friendly with people and will make a good pal for someone. I have waited for a while now, so I have my paws crossed that my home isn't too far away.

Mr Gently

Rescue Cat Mr Gentle from Willows Cat Adoption Centre, South Shields, needs a homeHello, I'm Mr Gently. I'm a neutered tabby boy who was living on the streets for over 8 years. I had a home of my own once, it must have been a very quiet one. I’m very shy and spooked by any noises and movement. I found some nice humans in the neighbourhood who fed me and made a shelter. One of them gained my trust and called Willows for help. My Willows fosterer made me a hidey-camp and she waited, and waited…and waited. Each day she talked to me gently, left food, refreshed my water and cleaned my litter box. I have come to trust her and I love chin and tummy tickles. I will unfurl and purr and let her do it non-stop...till her arm and fingers ache. I finally trust her enough to sit beside her on the sofa close enough she can stroke me. I give head bumps for more attention and she says I melt her heart. I am a gentle soul - I would never lash out; instead I run away and hide if I’m scared. I'm looking for a quiet home with a loving, patient owner, without children or pets, who has plenty of spare time. Deep down I’m lonely and want company, it’s just I find it so very hard to trust. I want someone who won't mind that I will hide at the slightest noise, and that I might take weeks before I even show myself enough for you to touch me. It'll be best to let me settle in one room first, gain your trust before letting me into the next room and so on. But for now I am good, I’m just preparing you for future. It may be a lot of effort, but the reward will be 1000-fold when you realise you’ve given me a new life and I unfurl for the first time for you. When I quietly purr for the first time, when I lick your hand for the first time. And each little baby step I take towards trusting you.
MR GENTLY is at Willows Cat Adoption Centre, South Shields. Rehoming in Tyne & Wear including Sunderland, Co.Durham and Northumberland. To make an enquiry please call: 07719 605383 or 07989 540342, and please mention you saw Mr Gently on Cat Chat, thank you!

Oreo

Rescue cat Oreo from Helping Pets - North East, Newcastle, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Northumberland, needs a homeHi, my name is Oreo, I think it might be because I have a black and white coat, or maybe someone thought I was sweet. I am 7 years old and have to find myself a new home. I am looking for a home where I can have a lazy evening on the sofa watching tv with you; as you can see from the picture I do love a good snuggle and snooze. I have been described as being a little grumpy sometimes; I will hiss and maybe swipe if I am scared or overwhelmed (we all have our off moments), so I think I would be best suited to an adult home, nice and calm and where I can be the only pet - queen of the castle possibly!? If you are patient and loving, can see past my little foibles and could offer me a home, please let my people know and they will see if we could be a match.

Amber & Jade

Rescue cats Amber & Jade from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, need a homeGood day, we are Amber & Jade a pair of young ladies looking for a home. We are beautiful girls but we are far from tame; we can be stroked, but it is clear that we don't enjoy being touched. The hope is that we can find a loving home, with an experienced human, who is willing to work with us and take the time to gain our trust. We are going to need lots of time and dedication to come around fully. We are neutered and looking for an adult only home. We understand that it is a big ask, but are sure that the right home is out there somewhere, with someone who will understand what a joy it is to finally see cats like us blossom; are you that person, we certainly hope so?

Smudge

Rescue Cat Smudge, Pawz for Thought, Sunderland needs a homeI've been waiting over a year... Please pick me! Hello! My name’s Smudge and I’m a gorgeous, grey and white, neutered girl. I’m looking for a rather special home because of my special needs. I arrived in care after being in some kind of accident or trauma, I’m keeping what actually happened to myself! I was very ill when I came in but after some treatment, needing my tail amputated and rehabilitation, I’ve got full mobility and am very playful. I can run and play and chase after toys! I’m incontinent though and am hoping to find someone experienced at expressing bladders and bowels. If my home had tiled floors, or areas that were easily cleaned, that would be so helpful too. I’d like access to a safe outdoor space please. I really don’t like other cats, so would prefer to be your only cat please. Would you have the home and love that I’m looking for?
SMUDGE is at Pawz for Thought, Sunderland. Rehoming in Co. Durham, Northumberland & Tyne and Wear. Simon & Lewis

Rescue cats Simon and Lewis, at New Beginnings Cat Rehoming, Gateshead, need a new homeWe've been waiting over a year... Please pick us! Hello, my name is Simon, a handsome black and white chap, and I’m here in rescue with my buddy Lewis, who has a tabby and white coat. We’re of a similar age, around two years old, both neutered, and we’re looking for a wonderful forever home together. Like many cats who have a tough start in life we both feel safer and happier in the company of other felines and haven’t learned to bond closely with humans. We’re not feral cats, and we love the comfort of an indoor home with good meals and warm beds to sleep in, but we need a home with humans who are happy to give us love and care without expecting us to become cuddly lap cats! A peaceful home without children will suit us best, though we could share our space with other friendly cats. We deserve an understanding permanent home together in which we’re loved just the way we are… Could that home be with you?
SIMON & LEWIS are at New Beginnings Cat Rehoming, Gateshead. Rehoming in Northumberland, Gateshead and Newcastle. Dylan & Maggie

Rescue Cats Dylan and Maggie, from New Beginnings Cat Rehoming, Gateshead, need a homeWe've been waiting over a year... Please pick us! Hello, my name's Dylan, I'm a handsome ginger boy, here with my best friend Maggie. I was born outside and caught by humans at 11 weeks old. I've lived as a house cat since then but I don't like people to touch me. I'm still friendly, and good with dogs and with other cats. Maggie, the beautiful black girl, was found in the back yard of a disused building, heavily pregnant and terrified. She only had one kitten but afterwards was very poorly and took weeks to fully recover. Her kitten found a home with the vet nurse who cared for Maggie and she slowly became my friend. We're both neutered and 2 years old. We would like a quiet, indoor, very cat friendly home with an understanding owner. In time, we might get used to handling, but we'd like an owner who can respect our space if we don't, and make a lifelong commitment to us.
DYLAN & MAGGIE are at New Beginnings Cat Rehoming, Gateshead. Rehoming in Northumberland, Gateshead and Newcastle.
