This independent rescue group, averages caring for up to 60 cats at any one time. They have a small team who assist with fundraising and spending time with the cats and kittens so that they are used to being handled kindly.

Streetkatz aims to give all homeless and abandoned cats and kittens of all ages a chance of survival and a brighter future. Their priority areas are older cats abandoned to live on the streets, cats and kittens born outdoors with no known owners. They also trap, neuter and return to site adult feral cats, and rehabilite and rehome very young feral kittens where possible. Streetkatz actively promotes the neutering of all cats and kittens over the age of 5 months. This rescue does not have a shelter but operates through a network of fosterers.

Cat Fosterers and permanent homes always needed. The Cinnamon Trust (the National Charity for the elderly, the terminally ill and their pets, Reg. charity. 293399) are looking for more volunteer homes throughout the UK. Pet free homes are needed for short-term fostering of cats whose owners are in hospital or respite care.
