Reese

Rescue cat Reese from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, needs a homeGood day to you; my name is Reese. I came in with a few other cats when we were found in a feral colony, I have been neutered and think that I could do this warm home lark, with people who love me just as I am. I am a handsome tabby and white boy, who would love to find a new home with another cat, if you had a fab feline who could teach me the ways of the housecat or could see your way to adopting one of my friends too. I have a sweet nature and am slowly showing it to my carers here, in the right home and with plenty of patience who knows how far I will go. I would need to be an indoor cat until we are fully bonded and then would like a little potter in a safe space if you have one, in the meantime a sunny and warm spot to watch the world go by would be just perfect. Please get in touch if you think i could be the one for you.

Harper

Rescue cat Harper, at Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, needs a new homeHello, my name is Harper. I'm a very handsome grey and white chap who came into rescue, along with a number of other cats, from a feral colony. Despite such a huge change in my circumstances I've begun to understand that the humans around me tend to bring me good things (like my dinner) and aren't as scary as I first thought. I'm a sweet natured boy who needs an experienced and patient human friend who can offer me not only a caring permanent home, but all the time and understanding I'll need as I continue to gain confidence at my own pace. I love the company of other cats and am looking for a home to share with at least one other friendly feline. I'll need to be kept indoors until I've fully bonded with my new owner, but eventually I'd enjoy the opportunity to spend time sunning myself in a safe outdoor space too. I have been neutered. If you think that you could offer me the loving forever home I deserve, please get in touch.

Morgan

Rescue cat Morgan from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, needs a homeHello there, my name is Morgan and I am on the hunt for a fabled forever home. I was rescued from a feral colony and have come to enjoy the lovely things that humans come armed with to try and become my friend. I am showing my sweet nature now and think that I am ready to find my people. I would be best suited to a home with another cat, be that one of my friends from the rescue or an existing cat, who can show me that people can be fun. I am looking for an indoor home at first until I have fully bonded with my guardian; then I would like the chance to find a sunny spot for napping in a safe space. Any potential guardians out there will need to be patient, it will take time and some lovely treats for me to get to know and love you. If you think that I could be the cat for you please get in touch and find out more about me.

Skye

Rescue cat Skye from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, needs a homeHello, my name is Skye; I would like to tell you all about me in the hope that I find my forever home. I was picked up as part of a feral colony but have become more used to people and I quite like the lovely things I get when they are nearby. I am a sweet natured lass who just needs someone to take a chance and work with me to help me blossom. I love the other cats here and think if you already had a cat I would be a great feline friend given proper introductions, if not and you are in a position to take on two cats, any of my friends from the rescue would be happy to have a forever home too. I will need to be an indoor cat until I am fully comfortable and settled in; I have enjoyed time in the sunny catio here; in fact, a forever home with a catio would be like a lottery win for me! I have been neutered and am ready to meet you; please say you will give it plenty of thought.

Sirius

Rescue cat Sirius from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Durham, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, needs a homeOh hello there; my name is Sirius. I was a long term stray, being fed for 18 months and slowly building trust until they were able to bring me in to find my forever home. I am a lovely boy, very chatty and I like to be stroked, until I suddenly remember that I don't like people and then I sometimes lash out; this is getting less and less though, I can't tell anyone what happened to me to make me distrust humans, but time and patience are helping to heal me. I love my food and will start reminding you that I am there as soon as I see any food, I couldn't bear to miss a meal. I am hoping to find an experienced and patient guardian, who is willing to give lots of love (and food!) and allow me to build trust in my time. I would love a garden to explore, once I am settled in, far from busy roads or metro lines. I am neutered and ready to start the next chapter of my life, could you be my main character?

Spooky

Rescue cat Spooky from Consett Cat Rescue, Consett, Durham, County Durham, needs a homeHello, my name is Spooky, I am also called Spook and even Spock. I am just over a year old, neutered and ready to find my forever home. I arrived with my brother, our mum was feral and we were both really hissy and spitty; once Mum had been spayed and released we started to come round and are now at a point where we need to find our own homes. I am slightly more timid that my brother but having said that I can sometimes be so friendly that you wouldn't believe I had ever been feral. I am looking for an indoor home and would prefer not to live with young children, older ones would be fine and I could share my home with other cats too. If you think I could be your new furry friend please get in touch?

Jasmin

Rescue cat Jasmin from Pawz for Thought, Sunderland, Northumberland, Tyne and Wear, Durham, needs a homeHiya, my name is Jasmin. I am a neutered, black and white, long-haired lassie. When I first arrived at Pawz, I was feral and could be aggressive because I was so terrified of everything and just wanted to be left alone; thankfully, they didn't and instead worked with me in my foster home. It has taken plenty of time and patience but I am improving ; I still don't like strokes but I no longer hiss at my fosterer. My dream home would have an understanding person, who will accept me for what I am now; work with me, love and care for me but don't need me to be a cuddly cat. I mean , it is possible that I might surprise everyone, but it is equally as likely that I will never become a lap cat. If you could offer me a chance at this happy ever after malarkey then please get in touch and maybe we can become good pals.

Mr Gently

Rescue Cat Mr Gentle from Willows Cat Adoption Centre, South Shields, needs a homeHello, I'm Mr Gently. I'm a neutered tabby boy who was living on the streets for over 8 years. I had a home of my own once, it must have been a very quiet one. I’m very shy and spooked by any noises and movement. I found some nice humans in the neighbourhood who fed me and made a shelter. One of them gained my trust and called Willows for help. My Willows fosterer made me a hidey-camp and she waited, and waited…and waited. Each day she talked to me gently, left food, refreshed my water and cleaned my litter box. I have come to trust her and I love chin and tummy tickles. I will unfurl and purr and let her do it non-stop...till her arm and fingers ache. I finally trust her enough to sit beside her on the sofa close enough she can stroke me. I give head bumps for more attention and she says I melt her heart. I am a gentle soul - I would never lash out; instead I run away and hide if I’m scared. I'm looking for a quiet home with a loving, patient owner, without children or pets, who has plenty of spare time. Deep down I’m lonely and want company, it’s just I find it so very hard to trust. I want someone who won't mind that I will hide at the slightest noise, and that I might take weeks before I even show myself enough for you to touch me. It'll be best to let me settle in one room first, gain your trust before letting me into the next room and so on. But for now I am good, I’m just preparing you for future. It may be a lot of effort, but the reward will be 1000-fold when you realise you’ve given me a new life and I unfurl for the first time for you. When I quietly purr for the first time, when I lick your hand for the first time. And each little baby step I take towards trusting you.
MR GENTLY is at Willows Cat Adoption Centre, South Shields. Rehoming in Tyne & Wear including Sunderland, Co.Durham and Northumberland. To make an enquiry please call: 07719 605383 or 07989 540342, and please mention you saw Mr Gently on Cat Chat, thank you!

Deborah

Rescue Cat Deborah, Consett Cat Rescue, Consett needs a homeI've been waiting over a year... Please pick me! Hello, my name's Deborah. I'm a pretty little female cat with a sleek black coat and the greenest of eyes. I've not had the best start to life, I was born into a feral life and am really timid. I'm 2 years old though and given time and patience, I will make someone a wonderful friend. I am already able to be stroked by the staff here if they're patient with me. I can sometimes lash out because I'm scared, so a home with no children or older children would be best. I don't like dogs but I might be okay with a gentle male cat in the family. I'm looking for someone who's experienced with cats and who can help me learn to trust humans and learn how to love and be loved. I'm looking for an indoor home for now but given time, that might change. I've been neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. People think I'm grumpy but I'm just misunderstood! Could you be my special person who can see beyond the front I put on and can see the loving cat I could be?

Good day, we are Amber & Jade a pair of young ladies looking for a home. We are beautiful girls but we are far from tame; we can be stroked, but it is clear that we don't enjoy being touched. The hope is that we can find a loving home, with an experienced human, who is willing to work with us and take the time to gain our trust. We are going to need lots of time and dedication to come around fully. We are neutered and looking for an adult only home. We understand that it is a big ask, but are sure that the right home is out there somewhere, with someone who will understand what a joy it is to finally see cats like us blossom; are you that person, we certainly hope so?

Smudge

Rescue Cat Smudge, Pawz for Thought, Sunderland needs a homeI've been waiting over a year... Please pick me! Hello! My name’s Smudge and I’m a gorgeous, grey and white, neutered girl. I’m looking for a rather special home because of my special needs. I arrived in care after being in some kind of accident or trauma, I’m keeping what actually happened to myself! I was very ill when I came in but after some treatment, needing my tail amputated and rehabilitation, I’ve got full mobility and am very playful. I can run and play and chase after toys! I’m incontinent though and am hoping to find someone experienced at expressing bladders and bowels. If my home had tiled floors, or areas that were easily cleaned, that would be so helpful too. I’d like access to a safe outdoor space please. I really don’t like other cats, so would prefer to be your only cat please. Would you have the home and love that I’m looking for?
