Socks & Top Cat were rehomed after being spotted on Cat Chat. Socks (11) and Top Cat (10) were mother and son who liked to snuggle up together and wash each other. Unfortunately, due to their owner’s health issues, they had been looking for a new home together. Top Cat was a confident cat and loved a fuss and a lap to sit. Socks was a very calm lady who loved a sunny spot for a snooze or a warm place by a radiator, especially higher up, a windowsill or back of a chair would do nicely! Thank you so much for helping them to find their perfect forever home!
Anim-mates, Sevenoaks
Marnie was rehomed via Cat Chat! Marnie came into the rescue as her owner could no longer care for her. She was a lovely black and white cat approx 15 years old. Even though Marnie was an older cat she still had a lot of love to give and lots of energy. Thank you for helping us.
Brinsley Animal Rescue, Nottingham
Beautiful Apricot, 10, was rehomed through Cat Chat. She was a lovely friendly cat, her owner was in terminal care and we had been asked to find her a loving quiet home. All she wanted to do is sleep, eat and be fussed.
Ryedale & Scarborough Cats Welfare, Scarborough
We are pleased to report that Misty has now been homed after being spotted on Cat Chat. Thanks for your help in homing this lovely 12 year old girl.
Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary, Newburgh
Hi Cat Chat, I've just been informed that 13 year old Missy has now got a new home. She was spotted on Cat Chat. Many thanks.
Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary, Newburgh
Great news: We are very grateful to Cat Chat as we have found a great home for Balmie through you. Golden oldie Balmie (14) was in urgent need of rehoming as his elderly mum was going into a nursing home in a matter of weeks. He was a very loving, gorgeous friendly boy - much adored.
Mitzi's Kitty Corner, Totnes
Hi Cat Chat, I'm pleased to report that 14 year old Amber was homed after being spotted on our Cat Chat page.
Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary, Newburgh
Our lovely 12 year old tortie who was looking for a home has just moved to her amazing new residence. We cannot thank you enough! The couple saw Tiggy on Cat Chat. She was the perfect match for their life. Unfortunately last year her owner very sadly passed away, and for a short period of time she found herself on the streets. She was a senior girl looking for lots of love who loved cuddles and company but also food!
Isle Cat Rescue, Doncaster
Just want to say a massive thank you from Albert (left) and Winnie (right) who have found a second chance in life after the death of their owner, despite being older felines, and it's all down to CatChat.
Burton Joyce Cat Welfare, Nottingham
Kitty, 15, has been homed after being spotted on Cat Chat. The poor girl had been down on her luck as of late: her owners handed her over to a veterinary surgery as they felt they could no longer care for her and, recently, our veterinarian found that Kitty had a potentially life-limiting liver condition. Needless to say this made it very difficult to find a home for this dear cat. Kitty was a beautiful cat and did not look her age at all.
Paws & Claws Animal Rescue Service, Haywards Heath
Smokey was noticed through Cat Chat. Could she have a spot on the Rehoming Roll of Honour please? Smokey is a beautiful cat who looks less than half her age. She isn't your typical "senior" cat as she loves to explore throughout the day, chasing lasers, searching for treats and getting a lot of attention and also likes to go out walking.
Moonstone Rescue, Hertford
Thanks to Cat Chat, Tammy & Kiki have now found their forever homes. Kiki (left) was a 14 year old tabby and white domestic shorthair female and Tammy (right) was Kiki’s 12 year old daughter, a domestic shorthair tortoiseshell female. Kiki and Tammy came in to the rescue as their owner was sadly having to move to a smaller property with no access to the outside. These two girls were just amazing, so sweet natured. They loved to be brushed and loved nothing more than a lap.
All Animal Rescue, Southampton
So happy to say that Dougie has now been rehomed and even happier to say that the family who adopted him saw him on Cat Chat. So thank you for all your help advertising him. Dougie was approximately 15 years old and the biggest cuddle cat ever. Due to a tumour he had a leg removed, the tumour was diagnosed as spindle cell sarcoma which is rare in cats. The tumour was of an intermediate grade and hopefully with the leg amputation Dougie should have a long life.
RSPCA Cheshire, Altrincham
Susie is a sensible, sweet, older lady who loves nothing more than a lot of attention and fusses - the person who rehomed her found us through CatChat, all the enquiries we have had about Susie have come via CatChat! We have been amazed by the amount of people who expressed an interest in her! Thank you.
Isle Cat Rescue, Doncaster
Heidi, aged 14, was just the sweetest thing ever and wanted cuddles all the time. She came into care last summer, after her elderly owner became ill. Heidi had been overlooked (or had no serious enquiries) possibly due to her age, until she was posted on Cat Chat. This is a picture of her in her new bed in her forever home. Thank you!
Miracle Helping the Madness, Manchester
13 year old Miso went to her new home which came via our Cat Chat entry. Many, many thanks.
Mitzi's Kitty Corner, Totnes
Cornelia (left), Julian (right), Orion, Geoffrey, Olaf & Mumma have all been homed via Cat Chat. Cornelia was a tortie point Ragdoll, her buddy Julius was a red point Ragdoll. They needed a new home because their owner was leaving the country. 14 year olds, in good health, vet checked indoor cats. They needed a home with older children, no other pets and someone home a lot of the time.
Friends of Felines, Halstead
Rosie was rehomed via Cat Chat. She was an incredibly gentle, affectionate and sweet-natured cat who loved to interact with people and could be quite chatty and playful at times, despite being a senior kittizen.
Anim-Mates, Sevenoaks
I found Sox on CatChat back in June 2021, and he joined the family at the end of July. Sox and his brother were found living outside when their old owners had moved away and they were fending for themselves alongside neighbours who helped feed them occasionally. Lulubells Rescue rescued them in January and placed them with an amazing fosterer. Unfortunately, Sox's brother passed away from cancer in May, leaving him alone and in need of a cat companion. I was looking for a companion cat for my girl, whose adopted brother also passed away in May. I was struggling to find a single, older, cat that could be with another cat - so hit the jackpot when i found Sox on CatChat. After a very slow introductory period, the two of them are now getting on well together and gradually getting closer each day. As you can see, he is also enjoying the garden. Thank you to Lulubells Rescue, Enfield for rescuing him.
Jo, St Albans
We saw 13 year old Rupert on Cat Chat and adopted him through Yorkshire Cat Rescue. He's made himself at home and loves to sunbathe or settle down in front of the fire. He's such a lovely character, very loud! He sits on the back of my chair and taps me on the head when he wants food or a fuss! Thanks for sharing Rupert on your site.
Cath, Keighley
Great news – 14 year old friendly boy Biscuit has now found a new home after being spotted on our Overlooked Cats listing on Cat Chat!! Thank you so much for listing him as he deserves to spend his twilight years in a loving home - I think he was only on there for a day before he was spotted! Many thanks.
Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary, Newburgh
Fourteen year old Lisette was rehomed via Cat Chat, many thanks. We were the second rescue to have taken her in; she has lived quite an active albeit sad life and now needed a well deserved retirement. Lisette longed to be in her own safe warm home, and now she can sleep, eat and be a happy pampered puss.
BJ Cat Rescue, Nottingham
We are very pleased to say that 15 year old Tali has gone to her new home after being spotted on the Overlooked Cats section. Stunning Tali came to us via the dog warden after her owner sadly passed away and she had nowhere to go. We were only too happy to help this beautiful girl. Tali is used to a quieter home, she is a shy little thing and needed an adult only home with a couple or single person who is home a lot, a nice safe enclosed garden to venture into if she wanted. Thank you so much!
Wonky Pets Rescue, Northampton
Some great news about two super seniors: Mitzi's Kitty Corner, Totnes had taken beautiful 'Golden Oldies’ Samba (15) (left) and her companion Gizzy (17) into their care, when their owner sadly died. The family had been unable to take them in because they had cats of their own. It's a heartbreaking situation. Samba & Gizzy needed to find a new cat lover who would appreciate their affection and enjoy their charm. Thankfully, this inseparable pair have now found their new forever home due to their appearance on Cat Chat.
Mitzi's Kitty Corner, Totnes
12-year-old Frazzle was rescued when she was no longer wanted by those she loved and trusted. She loves to sleep outside and really enjoys a good snooze in a sunny spot. Frazzle was rehomed through Cat Chat.
Lulubells Rescue, Enfield
Bea (left) is a very pretty young girl. She has her cuddly moments but she can be a little temperamental, so wouldn’t suit a home with children. She had the potential to live with other cats and does seem interested in the cats around her. Furball (right) is 15 years old and found herself in a shelter due to the sad loss of her owner. She chats to you and her meaning is usually clear. She isn’t keen on other cats and has a grumble at the cats around her. She’s a grumpy little old lady but a character that we love! We now have two lovely homes for these two pretty ladies and they found us through Cat Chat. Both girls are settled in their new homes.
Pawz for Thought, Sunderland
Great news - 14-year-old Blue has been homed after being spotted on our Cat Chat page - just 24 hours after he was listed! Thanks, as always, for your help.
Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary, Newburgh
Lovely Midnight, 12, had previously lived with another cat. She is looking for a quiet home with no younger children. Midnight doesn't like being picked up at all. She will have fuss all day long and is very food orientated. Midnight needs to be an indoor cat. She has now been rehomed thanks to being spotted on Cat Chat.
Pippa's Army Lost & Found Pets Havering & Thurrock, Grays
Hi Cat Chat, great news - Coco (left) & Vegas (right); 10 year old siblings, have found a home together after being featured on our overlooked cats page.
Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary, Newburgh
Twelve-year-old gentleman Oscar had been in rescue for over six months. Still perky, this pensioner puss enjoys sleeping on the window sills soaking up the sun or snoozing in front of a warm fire. He loves a brush of his fabulous fur and is always equally keen to give companionship as receive it. After being spotted on Cat Chat’s Twenty for 2020 campaign, the shelter told us: "He was rehomed via catchat, thank you so much!"
Independent Cat Rescue, Manchester

This is Poppy. Due to an allergy she needed a new home. She is a really friendly loving girl, 10 years old and is ok with other cats. Poppy has now been homed thanks to Cat Chat; she is living with a lovely couple who are over the moon with her.
Caring Animal Rescue, Stafford
This lovely lady is Molly, she is a beautiful tortie. Molly is around 10 years old and in need of a loving caring home; she loves a fuss and a lap to sit on. Great news: Molly has just been homed after being spotted on Cat Chat!
Caring Animal Rescue, Stafford
Maisie (left) came from a multicat household, you can tell from her picture that she was petrified when she came to us. She improved whilst she was with us, but still needed a stable quiet home where she could relax and not be frightened. Old Maisie (right) was originally a stray taken in by an older lady and lived a very contented life for 11 years. Sadly her owner died, so Maisie came to live with us. Because of her age we did not think we would ever find her another home. Luck would have it, an elderly gentleman whose wife had slight dementia thought she would be great company for her, as all she wants to do is sit on the sofa beside you or lay on your bed. She proved a great hit and was very contented, at last she had a lovely home where she could just sleep most of the time and enjoy company. Maisie was with this lovely couple for 8 months. Sadly the gentleman's own health deteriorated, and his wife had to go into a care home. Although she was 12 she was extremely fit and healthy. We’re happy to report both Maisies have now been rehomed thanks to Cat Chat. Must be a lucky name! Thank you.
Maesteg Animal Welfare Society, Bridgend
Sweetheart Bonnie came to us after her owners had moved away and left her behind. She was not neutered and had probably had lots of kittens in her 11 years. So, off to the vets she went to be neutered & when she was opened up, our suspicions were confirmed that Bonnie had been used as a breeding and money making machine :-( Brilliant news, Bonnie has now been rehomed after being spotted on our Cat Chat page in super fast time as she was only listed for one day!! Thanks for your help as always.
Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary, Newburgh
Sid is a 15yr old blind lap cat. He was spotted foraging for food amongst black rubbish bin bags. A very kind lady reported him to a us. He loves sitting on humans’ laps. While in our care, he became good friends with a younger cat and they used to snuggle up together, so the new owner, after spotting him on Cat Chat, adopted both Sid and his mate. Great result!
Meows Cat & Kitten Rescue, Dagenham
Spot is a beautiful 15 years young lady and is super sweet and loves a good fuss! All she wants is a warm bed, a sunny spot to bask in and lots of cuddles. She has now been rehomed after her adopter saw her on Cat Chat. She is now having a fabulous new lease of life.
Pawz for Thought, Sunderland
13 year old Tiger lived her whole life with her owner who recently had to relocate to a care home. This left Tiger needing a new home. Tiger’s life has been spent indoors in a high rise block of flats in West London where she was doted upon. Her removal into rescue has been traumatic as she became quite agitated and it took several months for her to adjust. Whilst in foster care it was also discovered that Tiger is quite deaf. We are delighted to announce that Tiger has now been rehomed with her new owner after being seen on Cat Chat.
Littler Cottage Rescue, Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Bedfordshire
Fluffy sisters Misty (left) & Molly (right) are 15 year old, loving and playful. Their owner sadly passed away so they have been looking for a new forever home. They have now found it, in a rather unusual way: they were spotted in one of the local papers that a Cat Chat volunteer kindly did an article for. We are so grateful for the extra help you provided!! Thank you so much. All the best.
Whinnybank Cat Sanctuary, Newburgh
We are extremely pleased to let you know that one of the older cats in our care, Mushroom (16 years old), has found a new loving home after being spotted on Cat Chat. She is a confident, chatty girl who acts more like a 16 months old kitten than an older cat. She loves her new home and her humans love her to bits already!
Stokey Cats ... and dogs, East London
Gorgeous Tia is a healthy older cat who needed a loving home for her twilight years. She is quite an independent cat who enjoys lots of fuss on her own terms. She also enjoys a brush and comb through her beautiful fur, which although long, does not become knotty! We are pleased to let you know that she was spotted on Cat Chat. Thank you Cat Chat!
Thanet Cat Club, Broadstairs
We are very pleased to tell you that Jayjay has been rehomed to Tonbridge, Kent, by a couple who saw her on the Overlooked pages of Cat Chat. Our thanks to all at Cat Chat. Jayjay is a young-at-heart 12 year old whose owner became too ill to care for her. She is a very happy cat starting her new life. Best wishes to you all.
Anima-Mates, Sevenoaks
Sasha is a 12-year-old, indoor, longhaired, black tortoiseshell female cat who’s come into rescue as her previous owner passed away. She’s an older lady who enjoys the quieter pace of life and is really looking for a quiet retirement home. She has now found her forever home thanks to being seen on Cat Chat.
Cats Protection, Glasgow
Mum Spot (left) is 17 years old and daughter Mitzi (right) is 16. These old ladies were handed into care for no apparent good reason. As indoor cats they truly hated having to live in an outside cat run because they just didn’t understand why they had been turned out at this most vulnerable time of their lives. Thankfully they have now been rehomed thanks to being seen on Cat Chat.
Little Cottage Rescue, Luton
Milly (left) and Lemmie were 12 years old when they came into our rescue as their owner moved into a hospice. They were affectionate cats and needed someone semi-retired or retired to love them in their twilight years. They have been adopted by separate owners under the umbrella of our Golden Oldies Scheme. Winston (right) was very timid and needed a lot of attention to gain his trust. He needed a home with an experienced cat owner who has lots of patience and time for him. We are delighted that all three cats have found homes after being spotted on Cat Chat. Thank you Cat Chat for helping to find them their forever homes.
Cat Homing and Rescue (CHAR) Warrington
Millie (left) and Frodo (right) are mum and son. Millie will be 14 in May and Frodo will be 13 in May. Their owner sadly passed away. Millie is very affectionate and will come to you immediately for a fuss. Frodo is a little more shy but once he knows you he is equally as loving as his mom. They have now found a quiet home together, after being spotted on Cat Chat.
The Ashmore Rescue for Cats, Wolverhampton
Lovely tortie Maisie is in her more mature years, and needed a lovely quiet home where she could be the only pet, as she sometimes likes her own space. She has now found that home after being spotted on Cat Chat. We‘re so happy for her and thank you so much for featuring her.
National Animal Welfare Trust, Clacton
Pretty girl Toffee (left) was in our care for nearly a year. She is a sprightly older lady with a lovely, independent character who loves a fuss but not all the time!! Teddy and Bear (right) are litter brothers who found themselves in need of a new home together at the grand age of 12 years. These boys are perfect gentlemen who live for cuddles and attention. We are delighted to say that all three have found their forever homes thanks to being spotted on Cat Chat. We could not do this without your help!
Little Cottage Rescue, Luton
Tinkerbell is 10 years old and was brought in by her elderly owner who could not care for her anymore. Luckily she has now gone to her new home after being spotted on Cat Chat. Her new owner said it’s a match made in heaven. Thank you Cat Chat!
Babs Cats, Swanley
Can you believe beautiful Suzie is 15 years old? She had obviously been loved and well looked after, as she was so friendly with our staff and volunteers. She really is lovely, enjoys a fuss is very confident. Suzie has now been rehomed after being seen on Cat Chat, we’re sure she'll make a great addition to her new family.
Cramar Cat Rescue, Birmingham
After trying to find a loving home for Pepper, our black 17 year old hyperthyroid cat, for almost 3 years, we've now found him the ideal home with a young woman who saw Pepper on the 'harder-to-home cats' page on Cat Chat. She lives in a shared house with a protected garden and specifically wanted to offer a home to an older cat, regardless of whether they have medical needs. I simply can't thank you enough Cat Chat for being instrumental in helping find this lovely, elder gent a good home.
Feline Friends, London
Shy little Eddy (left) was born at the shelter and is now 10 months old. Teddy (right) came into us early in 2017 in a right state, his mouth stunk to high heaven as his teeth and gums were in a terrible mess. The vet set about removing all his rotten teeth, which was all of them! He made a brilliant recovery, his gums healed beautifully and he no longer smells of decay! Teddy is at least 10 years old and arrived needing all his teeth removed. He made a brilliant recovery and his gums healed beautifully, Both have now been rehomed after being spotted on Cat Chat.
Grendon Cat Shelter, Atherstone
Saffie and Frankie, 13 year old sisters, were looking for a quiet home with company during the day. They were both very affectionate and sociable but had heart murmurs and Saffie was slightly hard of hearing. After they were featured in Cat Chat's Overlooked Cats section they were spotted by their new owner, who had previously had cats who were sisters. We are delighted that he has offered them a loving home and the care they both need in their ageing years.
Glasgow Cats Protection
Mr Bojangles was found as a stray, very thin, dirty, and just very unloved. It was clear that he'd previously been looked after as he was so friendly. This lovely old man just wanted a warm bed, and a human with a warm lap who would give him a good chin scratch. Looks like he’s now found a forever home, thanks to Cat Chat!
All Animal Rescue, Southampton
We are so pleased to let you know that Tabitha and Kitty (left), our older residents who had been with us a year, have been in a new home for a week. We have daily progress reports and they are both doing well. This would not have been possible without Cat Chat, and I’m sure their previous owner will now rest in peace, she loved those cats and they now have a purrfect permanent home before Christmas. Also Binx (right) was spotted on Cat Chat and has a lovely new home, with new feline friends.
Cats Friends, Rothwell, Northants.
12 Year Old Mushka is a lovely friendly cat, who needed a new home when her family circumstances changed. Thanks to the help of Cat Chat, Mushka has now gone off to her new home.
